How To Prepare For Cross Country

 Preparing For Cross Country 101

Cross Country can be scary when you think about it, but you can prepare yourself for the big event before it arrives. We can prepare ourselves physically and mentally with these tips. They can make youmore confident when you run during Cross Country and can also encourage you more, you will also be less nervous. So here are some tips for training for cross country.

Run with a positive attitude. If you run with a gloomy and sad attitude, then you won’t be able to run most of the track. Instead you should run with a positive attitude, because it makes you feel better and more confident about yourself. If you run with a good attitude, then people who see you could follow you and run with a positive attitude too.

One thing you can also do is to practise at home besides practising at school. You can run around the whole house until you get very tired, maybe even try to push yourself and run while you’re tired, because you will definitely have to do that during the cross country. You can also use a timer to see how fast you can finish running around the whole house everyday or at least 3 times a week.

Eat a lot of healthy food and also drink a lot of water. If you want to run the whole cross country track while barely getting tired, then you should eat healthy food like fruits and vegetables. You should stop eating food like chips or meat pies, because it won’t really give you enough energy for the run. If you eat healthy food, then you will be energised and you could feel strong.

Give yourself positive self-talk. When you feel like you can’t run anymore and you feel like walking the rest of the track, give yourself a little pep talk in your head. Tell yourself encouraging things like “I can do this!” or even “I’m going to make it!”. If you do this, then you’re going to feel more confident.

My conclusion is that training before cross country is very important. You will have to do a lot of things to get ready for cross country. If you don’t prepare, then you wouldn’t be ready. You should always have enough preparation just so you could feel better when the real thing happens.
