Does money and/or being famous make me happy

Task: We had to form an opinion about being happy if we were richer and more famous.

I would partly agree that being rich and/or famous would make me happier, because I would have exposure and I could make an impact on the world. Being rich would mean I could buy whatever I would want or need. I could give to the needy and do other good things like donating and such. People would know my name, and I could be able to go around the world or be invited to special events. I would be able to go to movie premieres and a lot more.

I also have to say that I could eventually get bored of having everything and doing whatever I want. I also wouldn’t want to walk out on the street being recorded every second. If I eventually reach some point where I have everything I want, I would just realise that there would be nothing left to do. My personal details could end up online, and a lot of gossip could potentially spread.  I would honestly prefer a more simple lifestyle where I could just relax.

To summarise it all, I would like to be rich and/or famous, but I would be bored of it eventually. I would like to live a life of simplicity and freedom without a paparazzi, and people running after me.
